1. Tea Garden
Some of the most stunning tea gardens in the Dooars may be found on the route from Damdim to Gorubathan, including Ranichera, Rangamati, and Sylee.

2. Riverside Scenery
The Fagu Khola, Runjung Khola, and Chel Khola come together to form River Chel just before Gorubathan. The Chel Riverbed is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts. The lovely Pathorjhora tea garden is located on the opposite bank of the river.

3. Dalim Fort
The ruins of a fort built by the Bhutanese monarchs may still be seen at Dalim Fort, which is located just above the settlement. In addition to providing amazing views of the surroundings, the location on top of the hill also has a lovely road leading from Gorubathan to Lava.

Daak Bunglow is the name of an open field in Gorubathan Tar. It was constructed by the British. There is also the 200-year-old Lepcha Stupa. Another tourist destination in Neem Busty is the Tamang Monastery. There are many historical sites, including the Lepcha King Gaebbo Achyok and the old Lungsyol village and Dalim fort. He was born and raised in Chyakhung Dara, a region of Lungsysol, which was made up of scattered stones.

  • The closest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP), around 65 km from Gorubathan.
  • From NJP, you can hire a taxi or take a shared jeep to Gorubathan. Another nearby station is Malbazar, about 20 km away, which can be a closer option if a direct train is available.
  • The road journey from NJP to Gorubathan usually takes 2 to 2.5 hours.

3. By Bus:

  • There are buses from Siliguri (the nearest major city) to Kalimpong or Lava, which pass through Gorubathan.
  • You can catch a local bus or shared jeep from the Siliguri Bus Stand. The bus ride may take about 3-4 hours, with stops along the way.
