  • Pakyong Airport (PUG): Located about 60 km from Lungchu, Pakyong is the closest airport, but it has limited flight connectivity.
  • Bagdogra Airport (IXB): Located about 140 km from Lungchu, Bagdogra is a more reliable option with regular flights from major Indian cities like Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai.

From either of these airports, you can hire a private taxi or shared cab to reach Lungchu. A private taxi from Bagdogra Airport to Lungchu will take around 5-6 hours.

2. By Train:

The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP), located about 140 km from Lungchu. NJP is a major railway station, well-connected with all major cities across India, including Kolkata, Delhi, and Guwahati.

From NJP, you can take a taxi or shared jeep to Lungchu. The drive from NJP will take approximately 5-6 hours.

3. By Bus:

There are no direct buses to Lungchu, but you can take a bus to the nearest town and then continue by private or shared vehicle:

  • From Siliguri: You can take a state-run or private bus to Gangtok or Rangpo (closer to Lungchu). From these points, taxis or shared jeeps are available for Lungchu.
    • Gangtok to Lungchu: From Gangtok, Lungchu is about 90 km, which takes around 4-5 hours by car.

4. By Private Car:

You can drive to Lungchu by following this route:

  • From Siliguri: Head towards Gangtok via National Highway 10 (NH10). Once you cross Rangpo and head further towards Rorathang, take the local road that leads to Lungchu.The roads are hilly and narrow in some parts, so ensure that your car is suitable for mountain driving. The total distance from Siliguri to Lungchu is around 140 km, and it takes approximately 5-6 hours.

5. By Bike:
