Alafiia Lingtam Homestay

After passing Rongli on its path, the first village having a check post is Lingtam. The tiny community is renowned for its tranquility and beautiful weather, which are protected by a small river named BakhuterKhola. The settlement of Lingtam, which is located at an elevation of about 5000 feet above sea level, contains two monasteries and is surrounded by hills on all sides. Lingtam is a popular tourist destination due to the year-round sunshine ... and good weather. On your journey to the exciting high-altitude destinations along the Silk Route, you might enjoy a cup of tea. Lingtam has two monasteries; the modern monastery is larger and features a more expensive meditation hall, while the older monastery has some lovely wall murals on its walls.

Check-in Time : 12:00 PM

Check-out Time : 10:00 AM

1. Aritar Lake
The lake falls under the Rongli subdivision, and the area is home to a variety of plants and animals. You may feel as though you have reached heaven after the four-hour drive from Gangtok to Rangpo. Aritar is separated from the rest of the state by Mt. Kanchenjunga in Sikkim's eastern borders. The lake, known as Ghati-Tso locally, is gorgeous. Enjoy the mountains, rivers, and lush vegetation that surround Lake Aritar.

2. Kupup Lake
People find peace in Kupup. This lake is endowed with magnificent beauty. Mother Nature's magnificent setting has done the most to enhance the appearance of the breathtaking lake view. The lake is situated at a height of roughly 13,066 feet. The journey to this location across the Jelepla Pass, which separates India and China, will delight you. According to estimates, this is Bhutan's second-highest mountain range. The lake's form is its best feature. It resembles an elephant exactly. The lake's right side resembles the trunk, while its left side resembles the tail.

3. Zuluk
Zuluk, on the eastern edge of Sikkim, is the ideal location if you wish to explore the spectacular natural splendour of the Himalayas. Fortunately, this location still embraces the rustic efflorescence rather than adopting the modern fantastical lifestyle offered by upscale hotels and resorts. However, this wonderful slice of heaven is slowly growing in popularity as a vacation spot for adventurous hikers and hill-climbing tourists, which is why a few hotels are being built there to assist the tourism industry.

4. Nathang Valley
A high altitude hamlet at 13,500 feet above sea level, Nathang Valley (also known as Gnathang Valley) is encircled by Himalayan mountains covered in snow. In the Indian portion of the Old Silk Route, it is the highest populated location. The Nathang Valley is a cold desert because it is snow-covered for more than half the year, from November to April, and the average temperature is below freezing. The colour of Nathang Valley varies throughout the year; in winter, it is covered in a thick layer of snow; in the monsoon, from June to September, it is abundant with both well-known and unidentified flowers; but in the fall, between October and November, when the grassland has dried up, it takes on a golden hue. Some migrating birds stop here for a few months before winter and then fly to another location.

5. Lingtam Hanging Bridge
You can find a strongly built hanging bridge with metal railings crossing the Bakutar river. The sound of flowing fresh water, large rocks scattered everywhere and the greenery that you can see from the bridge is a great experience.

6. Agamlok Buddhist Monastery
Tourists need to trek only about 500 steps to reach the Monastery. You can find status and paintings of Lord Buddha in this Tibetan style monastery. Sometimes there are ceremonies happening and you can find monks chanting and performing different rituals. There is a large garden and green field attached to the monastery and you can spend time there as well.

7. River Side Walking
The local area is very calm and peaceful. You can go for a walk to the river side. Beautiful twisting roads will help you witness waterfalls and lush vegetation all around. The rocks in the waterfall have a multi-colour striped texture in them.
